Dayton races past North Carolina in NIT final

It was a painful wait for a painful end of the season for North Carolina. After Dayton used its quickness to race to a 79-68 win in the championship game of the NIT, UNC had to endure an eight-minute ceremony after the game on the floor of the Madison Square Garden. According to Larry Drew, it wasn't much fun to sit and watch the Flyers celebrate and receive their parting gifts for winning one of the oldest basketball tournaments in the country.
