Lucas: Never Again
Posted Apr 2, 2010
When Roy Williams removed Marcus Ginyard and Deon Thompson with seconds remaining, he stopped each one near the Tar Heel bench and gave each one a hug. "I love you," he told them. Thompson said it began to sink in on the bus ride to Madison Square Garden that he was going through his final pregame as a Carolina basketball player. "When I was 15, I never thought I'd be here," he said. "I never thought I'd see the things I've seen and played the places I've played."
