The pioneers of Carolina basketball

High in the rafters of the Dean Smith Center hang the jerseys of 43 former UNC basketball players who, over the 100 years of basketball at Carolina, have been honored for their outstanding careers. All but five of these outstanding players competed for Carolina after 1953, when the ACC was organized. The five pre-ACC jerseys read: Carmichael, Cobb, Glamack, Jordan and Dillon. Who were these five men and why were they honored as All Americans?
