Chargers Take DT Cam Thomas In 5th Round
Posted Apr 25, 2010
The San Diego Chargers have finally taken a defensive tackle in the NFL draft, moving up 13 spots in the fifth round to pick Cam Thomas of North Carolina. Thomas is 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds. He’ll be in the mix to replace Jamal Williams, who had been the run-stuffing anchor of the Chargers’ 3-4 defense. Williams suffered a season-ending arm injury in last year’s opener and then was released in early March.
