Loss of Wears will hurt future seasons

The loss of big men David and Travis Wear will hurt UNC’s basketball team in 2010-11 but even more during the ensuing two seasons. Unlike many of Roy Williams’ high-profile recruits, the Wear twins projected as four-year players who should have been double-double contributors as juniors and seniors. On a roster with several players already being sized up for NBA jerseys, the Wears offered the prospect for long-term continuity and personnel stability.
