Ty Linton is the 'real deal'

In the fall, Charlotte Christian's was one of the state's best high school football players. At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, he was rated as high as the nation's No.11 college prospect at inside linebacker. In February, he signed with North Carolina. This spring, Linton is playing center field for the Knights' baseball team. Linton is generally considered by scouts as the top high school pro baseball prospect in North Carolina, and he's expected to be selected in next month's Major League Draft. (Charlotte Observer)
