P.J. Hairston transferring to Hargrave for senior season

P.J. Hairston, the rising senior basketball star who has committed to play for North Carolina starting in the fall of 2011, will not return to Dudley for his final high school season and will instead attend Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va., recruiting website Scout.com reported Monday night. Hairston, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound wing ranked the No. 8 prospect in his class by Scout.com, averaged 27 points and eight rebounds per game this season for Dudley, which won the Metro 4-A and advanced to the regional semifinals.
