Kentwan Balmer gets pass from practice

Coach Mike Singletary gave Kentwan Balmer the day off Tuesday, acknowledging that there is "certainly a lot on his plate right now." Balmer was also absent from practice a day earlier for what has been reported as an undisclosed family matter. His leave of absence with the 49ers came on a day in which new details emerged about Balmer's connection to the NCAA's investigation into the UNC football program.
