QB Marquise Williams refined and ready

is ranked as high as the No. 25 overall recruit nationally by the various scouting services. He choose UNC this summer over Michigan, LSU and Virginia Tech. Unlike many top flight in-state recruits who choose to leave for the SEC or the Big 10, Williams always wanted to stay home. “I just love the Atlantic Coast Conference,” Williams said. “I’m trying to make something big. Carolina’s a good program but as far as being rated with Florida and all the other big time schools, it’s not there yet. I want to be a part of making something there rather than going somewhere already established.” (Charlotte Observer)
