Posted Sep 5, 2010
LSU used the speedy legs of Patrick Peterson to ignite a first-half scoring binge and blow past North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game last night at the Georgia Dome. LSU, getting 244 yards in kick and punt returns from Peterson in the first half, won 30-24, its sixth consecutive victory over UNC. A stunning comeback generated by quarterback T.J. Yates of North Carolina fell 6 yards short of a shocking win.
