Butch Davis: John Blake had "distraction in his own life"

The resignation of UNC associate head coach John Blake on Sunday shocked his players, they said during interviews Tuesday. Blake, who has drawn the interest of the NCAA because of his connection to prominent NFL agent Gary Wichard, said in a prepared statement that he stepped down because he had become a distraction. His players, however, said they did not believe Blake had become a distraction.
