It’s been a few weeks since UNC assistant football coach John Blake resigned, bolting from a team rocked by a preseason of turmoil. Instead of basking in the high expectations and national-media love brought on by a defense stuffed with future pros and a shot at the school’s first ACC title since 1980, UNC was the talk of college football late this summer for entirely different reasons.
