Heels run past Pirates
Posted Oct 3, 2010
UNC used another strong second-half defensive performance and the hard running of tailbacks Shaun Draughn and Johnny White to defeat ECU 42-17 yesterday at Kenan Stadium. The Pirates led 17-14 early in the third quarter, but the Tar Heels scored the last 28 points. The Tar Heels intercepted quarterback Dominique Davis twice in the second half, and held the Pirates to 116 yards after halftime.
