The rumor going around the SEC Roundtable today at Ragazzi’s concerned the possibility that Virginia Tech could be back in the picture with Charlotte, N.C.-bred quarterback Marquise Williams, who earlier had committed to North Carolina. Mike Farrell covered the topic today in his “whispers” column on rivals.com and speculated that the Hokies have taken a slight lead over North Carolina and Michigan for Williams, a 6-foot-3, 218-pounder from Mallard Creek High School.
