Kempsville's RB Travis Hughes sets rushing record
Posted Nov 9, 2010
Kempsville running back Travis Hughes saved his best for last. On Friday against Princess Anne, the senior set a Beach District record with 354 yards and six touchdowns on 24 carries in his final high school football game. That’s an amazing 14.75 yards per carry. Hughes, one of the nation’s top players in the Class of 2011, has narrowed his list of schools (in no particular order) to Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and Clemson. He is planning to make his college decision the second week of December.
