Gary Wichard draws 9-month suspension in UNC case
Posted Dec 4, 2010
The NFL Players Association suspended longtime agent Gary Wichard on Friday for nine months because of his involvement with the scandal at UNC. In a statement, the NFLPA said Wichard had "impermissible communication" with former UNC defensive tackle Marvin Austin at a time he was not eligible for the NFL Draft. Wichard's suspension began Wednesday, and he waived his right to appeal.
