A big future ahead for Angelo Chol

Angelo Chol is being pursued by big-time college basketball powerhouses. Chol, a 6-9 senior center at San Diego’s Hoover High School was one of the superstars who competed in the inaugural National Prep Classic. The Sudan native is a shot blocker on defense, he can drive the lane to get to the basket and he has a feathery jump shot from long range. He hasn’t decided on a school yet. “He’ll make his decision Feb. 17,” said Hoover coach Ollie Goulston. Chol said he’s narrowed his choices to Kansas, USC, Alabama, North Carolina and Arizona.
