Anthony Elzy Will Not Play in Bowl Game
Posted Dec 27, 2010
Anthony Elzy will not play in the Music City Bowl, UNC confirmed on Monday. The senior running back will be absent from the season finale because of academic reasons, according to sources close to the situation. Without Elzy, the Tar Heels are down to two running backs -- senior Shaun Draughn (106 carries, 477 yards) and sophomore Hunter Furr (5 carries, 29 yards) -- and walk-on fullback Curtis Byrd for Thursday's game against Tennessee.
