NFL Update: Week 17

Nine former Tar Heels and their respective NFL teams will be featured in the playoffs beginning next week. Brandon Tate reeled in two catches, including a 42 yard touchdown catch, as the Patriots' will be the No. 1 seed in the AFC after a 38-7 thrashing of Buffalo. Kentwan Balmer and the Seahawks defeated St. Louis to clinch the NFC West and become the first team to reach the NFL playoffs with a 7-9 record.
