Tony Parker grabs 27 rebounds
Posted Jan 8, 2011
Miller Grove junior forward Tony Parker snatched a tournament-record 27 rebounds to go with 20 points in a 76-71 semifinal win over Douglass High of Oklahoma City at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Parker, who won tournament MVP en route to leading the Wolverines to the championship, talked about the feat. Seventeen of his rebounds came at the offensive end. His motivation? "I was shooting the ball so terribly [9-for-22] that I was mostly getting my own rebounds. They weren't boxing out well and so I was able to take advantage of that.
