A.J. Blue charged with DWI; passenger faces drug charges

UNC football player A.J. Blue has been charged by Burlington police with driving while impaired, while the sister of one of his star teammates faces drug charges in connection with the same traffic stop. Burlington police stopped Blue, 21, of North Ransom Street, Gastonia, in a 1999 Dodge at about 2:31 a.m. Sunday on Maple Avenue near Avon Avenue. He’s listed as Anthony Jerwade Blue on warrants.
