Jupiter Wilson named head coach at his former high school

Hickory turned to an alum – and a former standout lineman at North Carolina – to be the Hawks’ new football coach. Jupiter Wilson, 29, was hired Wednesday to replace Tim Sitterson, who resigned in December. Wilson was an All-Tidewater lineman at Hickory, graduating in 1999. He then was a three-year starter on the offensive line at North Carolina and played in the Arena Football League.
