Did Dallas Cowboys help Butch Davis sign Delvon Simmons?
Posted Feb 18, 2011
While (newly-hired UNC defensive line coach Brian) Baker was wooing (UNC football recruit Delvon) Simmons, he was also in negotiations for a quick return to the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. The club waited until after signing day to announce Baker's departure from UNC. Baker said Thursday he made the move because of the large pay increase and the chance to be with a prominent and promising club. Nothing underhanded. Simmons does not have the same options. He is the victim of a bait-and-switch.
