UNC's situation with Delvon Simmons muddled
Posted Mar 10, 2011
North Carolina defensive lineman Delvon Simmons has asked to be released from his scholarship, but the circumstances surrounding the request are unclear. Considering the lack of contact between the UNC staff and Delvon Simmons, it's surprising Simmons committed to Carolina in the first place, and it doesn't make sense that his reasoning would be former defensive line coach Brian Baker's departure. Have other programs still been recruiting Simmons since he signed his letter of intent?
