New York Giants take DT Marvin Austin in second round

The Giants went defense again, with their second pick, selecting defensive tackle Marvin Austin out of the University of North Carolina. Austin sat out the entire season due to rules violations, and if not for character issues, would have been a first-round pick. He’s 6-foot-2, 309 pounds and can be a disruptive force if he gets his head right. (Asbury Park Press)
