Short-handed Tar Heels roll

UNC may not have had its full compliment of weapons, but the top-ranked Tar Heels showed no ill effects, thrashing visiting Kent State 90-61 in Wednesday night’s non-conference contest at the Dean Smith Center. The Tar Heels, who were already without junior guard Bobby Frasor and senior guard Quentin Thomas, were also without forward Alex Stepheson who was in Los Angeles helping tend to his ailing father.
