Deon Thompson and Alex Stepheson spent much of last season on the bench, watching Tyler Hansbrough and Brandan Wright work their magic. Both Thompson and Stepheson have size, and both have natural, somewhat raw, talent. Neither came to UNC polished in the fashion of those other youngsters. What they've done since arriving in Chapel Hill provides an example of how college basketball has changed.
