Casey Barth earns preseason recognition on Groza Award list

For the second straight day, there’s a local Wilmington flavor to a preseason watch list for a major college football award. This time it’s Hoggard High graduate Casey Barth, who is listed among the early candidates for the Lou Groza Award, symbolic of the nation’s top place kicker. Barth, who is entering his senior season at UNC, joins New Hanover’s George Bryan in earning recognition as one of the best players in the country at his position.
