2012 center Mitch McGary experiencing meteoric rise


The AAU basketball season has served as a coming out party for a number of talented prospects this year, but few of them have experienced the sort of meteoric rise that Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy center has. The Chesterton, Ind., native has gone from a high major project to the No. 4 big man in the class of 2012 in just over five months. His recruitment has similarly exploded with some of the country's most prominent now in hot pursuit. "It happened in like a blink of an eye," McGary told Scout.com. "I have been able to handle it. Rankings are just numbers. It is prestigious to be up there, but I know I have to get better." (Detroit News)
