Seahawks sign veteran kicker Jeff Reed

Kicker Jeff Reed was signed Wednesday by the Seahawks, bringing in a veteran to compete with Brandon Coutu for the job that opened when Olindo Mare left for Carolina. Mare accepted a $4 million signing bonus from the Panthers. Reed is entering his 10th season in the NFL. (Seattle Times)
