Tar Heels moving past outside distractions

Butch Davis may no longer be the head football coach at North Carolina, but the Tar Heels say it remains business as usual a week into fall camp. Davis was fired two weeks ago and replaced for the entire 2011 season on an interim basis by then-defensive coordinator Everett Withers. The rest of the staff, however, remained intact, and that alone has helped Carolina transition during the early part of the post-Davis era.
