Butch Davis visits FIU practice again
Posted Aug 14, 2011
Butch Davis, present at Friday’s scrimmage, dropped by FIU’s practice again Saturday. Davis was UM’s defensive line coach when FIU coach Mario Cristobal was a freshman in 1988, and UM’s coach when Cristobal became a graduate assistant a decade later. “Certainly, so many things from his blueprint we have applied here,” Cristobal said. “Obviously, he’s a person I’m very grateful to and thankful for. It’s awesome to see him. He’s as good as it gets.”
