Gio Bernard’s injury tests UNC running back depth

UNC’s depth at running back is already being tested. First starter Ryan Houston went down with a fractured collarbone during the spring game. It’s an injury that still has him being held out of contact drills. His absence created an opportunity for promising redshirt freshman Giovani Bernard to show what he could do after missing all last season because of knee surgery. But now Bernard has also joined Houston in an orange jersey.
