UNC Withers fulfilling his coaching destiny, with a little help from Hoggard’s Braswell


The first time Scott Braswell saw , it was on the practice field at West Charlotte High School in 1980. Braswell was a volunteer assistant coach finishing up his degree at nearby UNC Charlotte at the time while Withers was a senior defensive back and one of the team’s best players. But even then, Braswell – now the head coach at Wilmington’s Hoggard High – had a sense of what the future held for his young protégé. (Wilmington Star News)
