If the college football season began today, one of North Carolina’s starting cornerbacks would be a player who was working out at safety two weeks ago and the other would be a youngster who was in high school at this time last year. “Probably Tim Scott and Tre Boston are the leaders right now,” Everett Withers, the Tar Heels’ interim coach, said Thursday. “But we still have some days to go.”
