Tar Heels will open with two beginnings
Posted Aug 30, 2011
There will be two debuts for North Carolina at Kenan Stadium on Saturday. Everett Withers will make his debut as a head coach, something no one was expecting until Butch Davis was fired in late July. Withers was promoted to interim coach. Bryn Renner, a highly regarded sophomore, will make his debut as UNC's starting quarterback, replacing T.J. Yates, who set 40 school passing records.
