Tar Heels survive five turnovers, beat Rutgers

North Carolina’s offense has the ability to make big plays --- when it holds onto the football. The Tar Heels struggled to do the latter today at Kenan Stadium, turning the ball over five times, but still survived to beat Rutgers 24-22 in a sloppy, penalty-plagued performance. UNC scored its first two touchdowns on long plays – a 66-yard pass completion from Bryn Renner to Dwight Jones, and a 60-yard run by Gio Bernard.
