North Carolina interim head football coach Everett Withers is calling Saturday's game against Virginia "our opener" for his team. And it also affords the Tar Heels a chance to show the football universe they can play 60 minutes of football without drawing so much attention from the officials and without feeding a hungry defense its share of freebies through the air and on the ground.
