Depth, talent have UNC defense ranked among nation's best

After holding Rutgers to just 1 yard rushing in a 24-22 victory last Saturday, UNC ranks third nationally in rushing defense. The Tar Heels have limited their first two foes to 30 yards per game on the ground. North Carolina also stands seventh nationally in quarterback sacks after two games with nine. Five different Tar Heel linemen have recorded a sack, led by sophomore end Kareem Martin with two.
