Ratcliffe: Old problems haunt Virginia

After a 28-17 loss to favored UNC, the Cavaliers discovered that some of the problems that haunted them in conference games last year haven’t gone away. UVa’s coaches were encouraged by a physical running game that blew up the Tar Heels’ national ranking against opposing ground games and that the Cavaliers’ defense controlled Carolina early. Yet, that wasn’t enough in the league opener for both teams.
