Dallas Cowboys second-round pick Bruce Carter said Thursday that he's still a month away from being released to practice with the team. Carter, the rookie linebacker out of North Carolina, said he's been told that he won't be fully released to practice until Oct. 23. Carter is on the reserve non-football injury list and can't play in the Cowboys' first six games.
