As greed rules college football, ACC among winners while Big East looks to be crumbling


The ACC took the proactive approach last week when it lured Pittsburgh and Syracuse from the Big East, which is dead as a major football conference. With its southern football membership, and equal basketball appeal to the Big East, it was better positioned to emerge as the fourth super-conference anyway. (Grand Rapids Press)
