Ed Davis speaks loudest in 55-53 humbling of Spartans


Hales Franciscan players trash-talked the wrong person Saturday. After hearing from the hotel lobby to the court that the Spartans were going to beat Richmond Benedictine (Va.), made it his personal mission to see that it didn't happen. Davis, a 6-9 North Carolina recruit, scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds, blocked 12 shots and dunked the game-winner in the final minute. (Chicago Sun-Times)
