UNC, N.C. State build on defense
Posted Nov 1, 2011
N.C. State and North Carolina have experienced inconsistent secondary play this season, and that's accelerated their focus on bolstering those positions in recruiting. Both programs received oral commitments over the weekend from out-of-state prospects who could provide some immediate help next fall at cornerback. The Wolfpack received its 15th pledge from former Pittsburgh commitment Marchez Coates from Pomfret, Md., while Malik Simmons of Lehigh, Fla., became the 16th member of the Tar Heels' class.
