UNC’s Giovani Bernard and Miami’s Lamar Miller both surpassed the 1,000-yard mark Saturday. Bernard is the Tar Heels’ first 1,000-yard rusher since Jonathan Linton in 1997. Miller is the first Hurricane to reach the milestone. Talk is cheap: If you’re going talk smack during the week, then back it up on Saturday. UNC couldn’t do it.
