North Carolina tailback Giovani Bernard had his seventh 100-yard rushing game of the season with 165 yards on 30 carries, both season highs, in the 37-21 win over rival Duke. His seven 100-yard rushing games are a UNC freshman single-season record, breaking the previous mark of six set in 1977 by Amos Lawrence. Bernard now has 1,222 rushing yards this season, the most ever by a UNC freshman.
