Carolina thrives in red zone
Posted Dec 23, 2011
It's simple math for North Carolina interim head coach Everett Withers. Seven is greater than three, and if the Tar Heels can grab seven points when reaching the red zone, while allowing the opponents just three, the end result should be positive. UNC's offense thrived in the red zone, scoring 33 touchdowns in 46 trips to the red zone. The lofty 72 percent success rate was far greater than the Tar Heels' opponents.
