Tar Heels dominate Rice, Monmouth

Monmouth coach King Rice, formerly a point guard at North Carolina, received a 30-second standing ovation from the Smith Center crowd Sunday before the Hawks faced the Tar Heels. The current UNC players weren’t as accommodating.The fifth-ranked Tar Heels (13-2) led by 30 in the first half and cruised to a 102-65 win over the Hawks (2-12).
