Casey Barth Granted Medical Hardship Waiver
Posted Jan 16, 2012
The ACC has granted North Carolina place-kicker Casey Barth a medical hardship waiver for the 2011 season, allowing the Wilmington, N.C., native a fifth-year of eligibility in 2012. Barth was limited to three games in 2011 due to an injured groin. He strained his groin in the first half vs. Virginia on Sept. 17 and did not kick the rest of the year.
