Defensive end Monte Taylor commits to UNC
Posted Jan 30, 2012
Defensive end Monte Taylor, a second team All-Met selection, committed to North Carolina during his official visit this weekend. Taylor said he will sign his letter of intent Wednesday to play for the Tar Heels, long his favorite school. Taylor, a standout tight end-defensive end who helped the Jaguars claim their first-ever Maryland 4A South Region title, had offers from North Carolina and Western Michigan. The Broncos were the first to offer Taylor but they wanted him as a tight end. The Tar Heels, however, wanted him as a defensive end.
